National Register of Historic Places
The Oldenburg House - 1894 - was placed on the National Register by the United States Department of Interior under the Areas of Significance of Industry and Conservation due to its association wih attorney Henry C. Oldenburg.

Bad Weather Contingencies
Options include tented ceremony and reception platforms, parties up to 80 people can be brought indoors. Also, the quaint and beautiful J. M. Payne Presbyterian Church 150 feet from the front property gates provides an alternative location if weather conditions for an outdoor ceremony become too severe.
