Thomson Dam is an embankment and concrete gravity dam on the Saint Louis River near the town of Thomson in northeastern Minnesota, United States. It consists of a 1600-foot (488 m) long primary structure and multiple supplementary dams which, together with precambrian rock outcrops known as the Thomson formation, impound the river to create Thomson Reservoir.

Daily walks to the reservoir are in large part due to Sukie, our Golden-doodle.  The result of such a routine is the snapshots found within the gallery below and taken by Sukie's human, Glenn, who is always encouraging our guests visit the lake to watch a variety of water fowl or get out on the lake - snowshoes when its frozen, kayak and canoe when the water is open.
